All the required separate waste collection streams you need in one place. This listing includes five ring bins and recycling stream signage. Assembled with convenience in mind, these recycling bins are capable of being either post or wall mounted, giving you a range of options for installation.
This recycling station also offers a hygienic solution for disposing recyclables and waste. The open-top design allows you to simply throw rubbish away without being in direct contact with the bin, minimising the risk of spreading germs.
Easy to set up and install; fixed to a wall with only three screws and wall plugs. Once setup, these bins take up less room than a floor mounted bin would – saving you precious space. It can also be emptied far more efficiently with a quick pull on the elasticated liner cord. Great for use in the train stations, airports, and bus stations thanks to their ease of use and transparent liners, which help to improve security.
The real advantage to this waste collection station is that it provide you with everything your business needs to comply with Welsh recycling regulations. Unaware of these new regulations? We'll break it down for you.
Separated Waste Collections for Workplaces
As of 6th April 2024 (subject to the Senedd) all workplaces will be required to separate their recycling into six different types:
- Food – for premises that produce more than 5kg of food waste a week
- Paper and card
- Glass
- Metal, plastic, and cartons and other fibre-plastic composite packaging of a similar composition
- Unsold small waste electrical and electronic equipment (sWEEE)
- Unsold textiles
Each to be collected separately by your local authority or waste contractor. Failure to comply with these regulations may result in a fine.
Why is the Welsh government enacting these changes? This new method of recycling is designed to help Wales reach zero waste and reduce carbon emissions by 2050. This will be done by keeping recycled materials in use for as long as possible, which will help to tackle the rising costs of materials.
